- Fall Faire in Monee: Initiated in 1995, the annual Fall Faire boasts the cooperation of every organization in and around the area. Exciting activities going on throughout the Village during this three-day event including food, games, crafts and more, centered around. Firemans Park, just west of Village Hall.
- Community Garage Sale Sponsored by the Womens Club of Monee and usually held in conjunction with the Fall Faire. Anyone and everyone can participate, as a shopper or seller-maps are provided showing where all the sales are located, for a full day of bargain hunting.

There are a number of small tot-lot style parks in almost every area. An appointed parks and recreation committee handles park and recreation functions. The MY (Monee Youth) Committee is sponsoring numerous events such as village-wide family picnic, teen and preteen dances and a haunted house that is held in conjunction with the annual Halloween bonfire.
The old Creamery Building in Firemans Park (across from Monee Elementary School) is being renovated in the recreation center by local police officers and the MY Committee.
The Eastern Will County Senior Services Center is located west of the railroad cut between Main and Court Streets. There is Sunday bingo and the facility is used for events such as fish fries and activities for residents of all ages.
Other local organizations as well as local chapters of national groups include United Way, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the American Cancer Society, Eastern Will County Senior Services Center, Monee Youth Baseball and others. They always welcome new members and volunteers to pursue common interests, find ways to become involved in their community, or to reach out and help others.
In summary, there is a lot to do and a lot to see in good old Monee.
